These are recreations of the robot and Evil Otto from the 1980 arcade game, "Berzerk." The robot is a combination of things I liked about the original in-game sprite, the classic-Cylon-ish bits the robot had on the cabinet art and a bit of Maximilian from the Black Hole. I had a bunch of ideas for Evil Otto, the bouncing smiley face from the original, but settled on a metallic ball with a large pixel face on it. I tilted it downwards a bit to make the eyes look a tiny bit more menacing.

It's the truth. I used to play this a lot back in the old days and a drive-in theater in my area had it for a while in the 90's, too. The fun factor didn't take a dip after all those years. I'm glad you like those sprites!
